2011 review + 2012 possible fights.

2012. THE BIG BOXING FIGHTS WE ALL WANT TO SEE.

2011 is almost over, its been a decent year for boxing, some good fights, some bad fights and some shocking judgeing decisions have taken place. The biggest fight in 2011 for me, has to of been, David Haye vs Wladamir Klitschko. A cold, wet and windy summers night on July 2nd. It had the expectation to be a classic,  unfortunately it did not live up to the hype and many of us where left dissapointed. Haye blamed his lackluastre performance on a broken toe, if it was not broken could he have possibly won this fight? I think so.

The worst scoring in 2011.

2011 will be remembred as one of the worst years for scoring fights. In my view, their have been some shocking scorecards. None more so then Dereck Del Boy Chisora v Robert Hellenius. Chisora clearly won that fight by a minimum of 8 rounds, but was clearly robbed and lost out on becoming European Heavyweight Champion. Another fight that comes to mind is Felix Sturm v Matt Macklin. On my card I had Macklin up by 2 rounds at least, yet another robbery. Many people have questioned the Sturm v Murray fight, it was a close affair, maybe murray nicked it but to win a world title in someones back yard, youve got to do a little more. Carl froch v Andre ward. Ward won this fight but how on earth did two of the judges score it 115-113? Froch won only one round during that fight, he was totally outclassed and outworked.

The big fights in 2012

Fights in 2012 I want to see are: Mayweather v Pacquaio, Macklin v Martinez, Haye v V Klitschko, Mitchell V Burns, Cotto v Alvarez, Barker v Martin Murray, Amir Khan v Tim Braddley. Those are just a few of the ones I hope to see, their are many more but those ones are the most likely to happen IMO.
